For Christine Wolf, editing is symbiotic process that fuses music, poetry, and emotion. As a musician playing in multiple acts, music has always been an integral part of not only her personal life, but also her career. Editing is a process much like writing a song; both song and edit evolve in either a solitary or collaborative fashion, changing and growing into something new via the power of collective mindfulness.
Drawn to projects with deep emotional impact and creative visualization, she strives to foster the strongest avenues for narrative, theme, and ideas. A recent work, “Child of the Sky,” which premiered at the New York Film Festival, was a narrative film told exclusively without dialogue, relying on the physicality of dance and the strength of imagery to convey the story. Christine lives and works from her home base in Chicago, a place she believes to be a beacon for creativity.
